An Incredible Milestone for AGW

Over the festive period AGW celebrated an incredible milestone of turning 50 years old, with our certification of registration dated 23rd December 1974! Reaching a milestone like 50 years is no easy feat. To think that a company started by two engineers, Tony Godwin and George Wainwright, who had both recently been made redundant, not only survived but thrived for half a century is incredible.

When AGW originated, it was a leap of faith. Over the years, we've navigated countless challenges, but the core of our success has always been our ability to adapt. The economy and its markets are ever-changing, which meant we had to evolve alongside them. Our good engineering, design, and adaptability has enabled us to meet our customers' needs and establish and nurture long-lasting relationships with our customers and suppliers.

As a family-run business, we also hold immense pride that for every single day of our 50-year history, a member of the Godwin family has been involved. This continuity has ensured that our values and ethos have always remained the same.

Our long-standing and loyal employees have played a massive role in shaping AGW into what it is today. Their hard work and dedication have been a driving force behind our achievements and success. Many of our employees are also from multi-generational families, creating a legacy that combines AGW's history with that of the local community. We hope that through this we have made a meaningful contribution to the local economy over the years by providing opportunities for many families.

As we celebrate this milestone, we would like to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey and look forward to what the future will bring.
