2021 sparks an optimistic outlook for AGW
AGW has a positive start to 2021
As we’ve moved into 2021, AGW have had a notably positive start to the new year with a number of reasons to feel optimistic.
During the uncertainty of 2020, we unfortunately had to make a number of our staff redundant. However, as we moved towards 2021, we were delighted to have been able to re-employ a number of those that were made redundant due to our increasingly busy workload. This has enabled us to continue to be a proud, critical supplier of the defense and medical sectors, providing a variety of vital electrical products for their needs.
Across the team, we’ve also had a very small number of positive Covid tests, thanks in no small part to our rigorous covid-19 safety measures, including wearing masks at all times (except at workstations), extra hand sanitisation and split breaktimes, allowing our workload to remain at pre-covid levels.
We do still face a period of uncertainty, with the pandemic continuing to affect all of us and the effects of Brexit becoming more & more evident with €50 administration charges added to any order from our suppliers across Europe. However, we are starting to see that light at the end of the tunnel with Tony, our Joint Managing Director receiving his vaccinations for Covid-19 across the New Year period. We are extremely grateful for the hardwork of our local NHS in ensuring the vaccinations continue moving at such a fast pace.
